The Old Fullerians’ Business Club hosted an exclusive dinner featuring renowned speaker and entrepreneur Matt Bird.
This intimate event, with limited places allocated on a first come first served basis, brought together alumni and friends for an evening of connection, conversation, and inspiration.
Matt captivated the room with reflections drawn from his experience speaking in 50 countries to over a million people. A frequent broadcaster and the author of 20 books, he has written for The Times and built a reputation as a serial entrepreneur. Among his many ventures, Relationology, NAYBA, PublishU and The Rooftop stand out as particularly successful examples of his work in both the business and social enterprise worlds.
Guests enjoyed lively discussion, a shared meal, and the chance to engage with Matt’s insights on leadership, relationships, and purpose.

The Business Club was formed in response to a growing interest amongst the WBGS Old Fullerian community to connect with former classmates and those from other years at WBGS. The objectives are to provide stimulating and thought provoking speakers, develop connections in a business context, exchange ideas and build a network of contacts. As a successful Old Fullerian, we very much hope you can join us.
This event follows our very well received previous dinners which featured stimulating, interactive, thought provoking, after dinner speeches and discussions for which we have to credit the speakers:
Edward Stringer, an OF who is a recently retired Air Marshall, who was kind enough to step in at short notice when the original speaker was incapacitated shortly before the dinner;
Nicola Burnside, who spoke at our second meeting, the CEO of Alpine Cars, part of the Renault Group. As a leading female within the traditionally male Automotive industry she was able to provide fascinating insights on the future course of the wider industry.
