Slam-dunking into the new year. A  recent Old Boys versus school basketball game was a spectacular gathering, with a great turnout. Hosted at Watford Grammar School for Girls and organised by Assistant Head and the WBGS Basketball Coach Mr Curwen, the event brought together alumni for an exciting match that highlighted the enduring skills and camaraderie among former students.

The Old Boys team secured a commendable victory, triumphing over their opponents with a final score of 56-51. The quality of play was impressive, showcasing the competitive spirit and sportsmanship that define Watford Grammar School for Boys' legacy.

Plans are already in the works for another gathering, potentially around Easter or in the summer. Proposed activities include a 3v3 outdoor tournament on the astro turf, complemented by an indoor match in the school's sports hall. The possibility of post-game refreshments in the pavilion was also suggested, adding a social dimension to the sporting event.
