About the Business Club
The Business Club was formed in response to a growing interest amongst the WBGS Old Fullerian community to connect with former classmates and those from other years at WBGS. The objectives are to provide stimulating and thought-provoking speakers, develop connections in a business context, exchange ideas and build a network of contacts. As a successful Old Fullerian, we very much hope you can join us.
This event follows our very well received previous three dinners which featured stimulating, interactive, and thought provoking after-dinner speeches from the below guest speakers:
Edward Stringer – OF and recently retired Air Marshall
Nicola Burnside – CEO of Alpine Cars, part of the Renault Group
Matt Bird – Founder and CEO of disruptive publishing company, PublishU
Our guest speaker for November’s dinner is Rob Lynch, Director of Cricket & Operations at MCC, who will provide great insights into the sport, as well as his fascinating career journey. A little background to Rob can be found here.
The event is being run by the Old Fullerians' Association (OFA), who are already behind successful careers initiatives at the school. Each year the OFA Careers Day in July supports our Lower Sixth students by partnering them with Old Boy Mentors. On many occasions, the Mentors asked to be able to spend time together in a different forum to network with their Old Fullerian colleagues and, as a result, the Business Club has been created in part to answer this need.
